About Us
Wicked Winters Films is an independent film company led by Jade Winters and Alex Hogben, specialising in lesbian romance and sapphic drama.
Jade began her storytelling career as an author, writing lesbian fiction with a focus on relationships and character. Moving into film gave her a new way to tell those stories, taking her work from the page to the screen. She now writes and directs our films, guiding each project from the script through to the performances and the way the story is captured on camera.
Alex drives the strategy and production side of Wicked Winters Films, helping turn creative ideas into finished projects and connecting our work with audiences. Together, we bring a practical, hands-on approach to independent filmmaking.
Our films put women and their relationships at the centre, exploring romance, identity and the challenges that shape people’s lives. Alongside our romantic dramas, we’re developing stories that bring sapphic characters into crime and supernatural genres.
As a small, independent team, we’re closely involved in every stage of our work, from writing and development through to filming and release. Our aim is to make engaging films that give lesbian stories the attention and screen space they deserve.
